Happy first week of Fall, though the days are still on the warmer end!
Hope everyone has developed some kind of rhythm as we're entering our third full week of school. Parents are encouraged to reach out to their child's teacher if there are concerns. Tuesdays from 2:30-3:10PM are set aside for parents to meet with their child's teacher face to face or over the phone to address issues. You can sign up for 10 minute time slots with your child's teacher via email or a hand written note.
Wednesday is the launch of AEA C.A.R.E.S. groups. We hope these groups and times will be meaningful. Please reach out to Ms. Jainnie for more information via email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Friday, September 27 is our Million Fathers March event from 8:30AM-10AM. We are asking fathers, uncles, grandfathers to bring their children to school the usual time. The participants will then enter the main building to go into the cafe where light refreshments will be served and guest speaker introduced. Children will follow their usual arrival procedures. After the guest speaker, children will be called down into the cafe where they will meet with their fathers, uncles or grandfathers. Our participants will then read with their children. And a fun activity will be awaiting them. We hope this event will be a memorable one for our families!
Looking ahead: Please remember schools are closed Monday, September 30th and Tuesday, October 1st. Happy Holidays to our families who celebrate!
We hope you have a good week!
