It was wonderful to see many parents last week during Open School sessions and Parent Teacher Conferences. Thank you, also, to the PTA for hosting a successful Usborne Book Fair!
Our Thanksgiving Food Drive is coming to an end tomorrow, Tuesday, November 19. We are grateful for your generosity! We received an abundance of food donations that will last till the December holiday season! The Pajama Drive continues- thank you for all your donations so far!
We will be sending information about our spirit wear soon! This will be your chance to purchase trip shirts. We will also be adding more items to the inventory- possibly sweatshirts, mugs and other AEA pieces.

Tuesday, November 19: we will be joining other families from the local area at PS220 for our D28 Parent Workshop. Ms. Torres, the PC from PS220, has a very fun activity prepared for us. For those attending, we will meet at 8:20AM in the main lobby and go together. You can also meet us there.
Thursday, November 21: we'll be having our Thanksgiving Potluck and Financial Workshop at 5:30PM in the AEA Cafe. Please don't forget to send in your slips to RSVP and let me know what you'll be bringing. There will be a special activity for children during the workshop. Parents can send in $5 cash/ child for the special activity.
The PTA will also have their monthly meeting on Thursday from 7-8PM in the AEA Cafe.
Thursday, November 28- Friday, November 29: Schools are closed for Thanksgiving.
We will be sending, via Remind, information about our December "On Stage" and "Town Hall Meeting". Please make sure to RSVP using the link on our Google Calendar event.
If you have trouble accessing any of our online platforms (Remind, Google site, website), please let Ms. Jainnie Hackman know. We don't want you to miss out on important information and events.
PreK arrivals: families are welcome to arrive at the PreK gates at 8:10AM. Once the Kindergarten classes go up the stairs, PreK families can enter the building for drop off. Doors will close at 8:20AM. If you are late, please go to the main office to get a Late Pass for your child. A staff member will then bring them to their class.
Strollers: for safety concerns, strollers are not allowed in the ECC building or the main building. You must park your strollers away from entrances, as they may become a tripping hazard. PreK families cannot bring their strollers inside the 69th Avenue gates. They must be parked outside of the gates during arrival and dismissal.
Late Pickup after dismissal: if you are late picking up your child from the ECC building, you must go around to the main building for pick up. Please note, you will need to wait outside of the gates until ALL of the classes are dismissed before you go into the building to pick up your child.
Once your child is dismissed from class, they must stay outside of the gates. We ask families to not let their younger ones enter the main entrance gates while the older grades are dismissing. We thank you for your cooperation.
