A few quick welcome back reminders:

  • Students in Cohorts A and C will return to the school building on Monday, January 4th.

  • Students in Cohort B will return to the school building on Monday, January 11th.

  • Please remember that students who have recently traveled outside of New York to a place on the State’s travel advisory list must quarantine for 14 days. You also have the option of testing out of quarantine based on the State’s guidelines: Students should continue to complete the health questionnaire daily.

To help us get into the Holiday spirit we invite our students to participate in a mini-Spirit Week to celebrate!  Please use the links below to view your child's spirit week schedule and attire

We would like to share that the Equity and Access office will be offering Parents/Guardians an opportunity to share and experience an Implicit Bias Workshop. The (IB) Workshop will be two sessions beginning on Monday, December 14th and Thursday, December 17th at 6pm. Participants must attend both sessions.  Attached below is the link for the Parents/ Guardians to fill out. ​

The Queens South Student Service division, in partnership with the Child Mind Institute, is presenting a webinar on Grief and Loss during the holidays and to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.  The webinar will be on December 10th from 5:00-6:00  See registration link below.

As per the Mayor and Chancellor's directives, no student in grades 1-5 will be permitted to return to school without a Covid-19 consent to test form on file.  Please note that Pre-K and Kindergarten students are exempt from this mandate.  We ask that you complete this form by Thursday, Dec 3rd so that it is reflected in our computer system by Monday when Cohorts B and C return to in person learning.

Also, please adhere to the criteria set forth to put in for a waiver if necessary. All documentation must be handed in prior to the 7th for Cohort B and C.


Here is a short instruction (and screenshot) on submitting/re-submitting consent for COVID-19 testing at  

  1. log into the website and your child(ren)'s info should be there (if not, you may have to complete online access);

  2. click on Manage Account;  

  3. click on Consent Forms;

  4. click the checkbox at the bottom of the page; and

  5. click consent / re-consent (depending on whether you've consented before).

As per the NYC Chancellor's Office we will continue our full remote learning this week. In school learning will resume on Monday, December 7th.  Cohort B is scheduled to attend in school learning that week. We will be sending out more information in the upcoming week.

The PTA has set up a Double Good virtual fundraiser! It’s 100% contactless, we keep 50% of the profit and the product ships directly to the buyer. PTA Fundraiser

Our fundraising window begins on November 19, 2020 at 8am and goes until November 23, 2020 at 8am.

To access these forms, please DO NOT use your child's school email address which ends with

  1. Click on 'Policies', then scroll down to 'Communication'

  2. The forms are titled, "Fillable Blue Card (Emergency Contact Card), Photo Consent Form and School Compact 2020-2021

  3. Follow the instructions that appear below the title



If you are looking to request a device  from the DOE please use the link below. The link is also posted in the "Important Links" section under DOE links. 




Using the link below, please view the QR code with the DOE Health Screening Survey that must be filled out before entering the school building each day. This includes your children, as well as you if you are visiting the building for any reason. The website is also listed, in case you can't use the QR code.  You must do this at home daily, and be prepared to show proof of results at the school. The link is also posted in the "Important Links" section under DOE links.  On the form please write "Lobby" as the floor you are visiting .



We would like to invite you to a "Virtual On Stage with Mrs. Leto" on Monday September 14th. There will be two sessions at 1:00pm and 1:30pm. Please only join one session.

The link and invitation to the Zoom meeting will be sent by 12pm on Monday September 14th.  Due to DOE limits on Zoom Meetings please limit your log on to 1 per family.

AEA Reopening Model

Our Exception Plan was approved! The model we will be using when we reopen is:

PreK-4th Grade- Alternating Weeks In-Person, Full Days, M-F (Groups A & B)

5th Grade & Students in grades 2-4 with IEPs who opted for Blended Learning- Full Time In-Person, Full Days, M-F (Group C)

Full Time Remote (Group D)


Please complete the form below in order to receive your child/ren's Cohort Schedule(s) for September. One form must be completed per child. Also, we will be sending it to only ONE email address. Thank you for your cooperation.

We are asking ALL families to complete this form even if your child/ren will be going Full Time Remote since Full Time Remote is also a Cohort. Thank you!
